No ads. No selling. No accounts.
anyname.ai shows no advertising, does not sell your data, and has no user accounts. There is no adtech stack and no data brokers.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use HTTP cookies. Your language, bookmarks, workshop rounds and the discovery counter live only in your browser's first-party localStorage. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
Where the AI runs
Name suggestions and name analyses are produced on anyname.ai's own server, not by a big cloud LLM vendor. Your workshop requests (chosen category, direction, wishes, the name to analyse) necessarily reach that server so results can be produced.
What we do not do
No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad networks, no selling personal data to third parties. The magazine's pictures, texts and fonts are served by us. Links to Pinterest are plain links without embedded content.
Operational logs
To keep the free service running we keep server-side usage stats and logs (for example page views and generations, the request data needed to produce a result, and the country derived from the IP address). For country statistics the server may briefly look up the visitor IP via a GeoIP service (ip-api.com), operational only, not advertising.
Your bookmarks
Saved names live in your browser's local storage unless you export them as a file. Clearing site data removes them.
AI-generated content
All watercolours and texts of this magazine are created with artificial intelligence.
What is generated
The watercolours (covers, picture stories, portraits, motifs, mood paintings, decor) are painted by an image model. The texts of the issues (leads, picture stories, name portraits, quizzes, descriptions), their translations into every language, and the name suggestions and name analyses of the workshop are written by a language model. Meanings, origins and character notes of the names are compiled with AI assistance and selected editorially.
Labelling
We label this content as AI-generated, here and in the footer of every page, in line with the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 50). The pictures do not depict real persons, places or events; the texts are editorial content about first names, not news reporting.
Limits
AI models can be wrong. Meanings and origins are compiled with care but are not guaranteed linguistically. Please check important details yourself before relying on them.
